MLK Parade

The 26th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Kingdom Day Parade”

“Working Together We Can Make The Dream Come True”

On Monday January 17, 2011 the Garfield High Army JROTC had the distinct honor once again to kick off the 26th Annual Martin Luther King parade.  The members were able to celebrate the legacy of a great man who fought for justice and equality.

The Los Angeles Kingdom Day Parade is the largest celebration of Dr. King’s birthday in the country.  The parade was seen and heard by local radio and television stations in California as well as across the country.  Again, the Bulldawg members are proud each year to be a part of the celebration to help commemorate Dr. King’s birthday.  The Bulldawg Battalion was well represented with its Elite Color Guard, Marching Unit, Armed/Unarmed Drill Teams and the alumni.  Thanks to all the cadets who participated and continue to lead the way.
