VETERAN’S DAY

“Let Us Never Forget Our Heroes”

Union Rescue Mission

On November 11, 2010 Our Color Guard members, flag detail and courtesy patrol members performed duties at the Union Rescue Mission. They presented the colors, served the homeless veterans and performed a flag folding ceremony.  The event was to symbolize our future soldiers to “salute” veterans who selflessly served our country and now find themselves homeless.

The Daily Grill sponsored a luncheon and the cadets had the honor to serve the 41 Veterans present. After the luncheon the flag detail along with several veterans folded a giant 18’ x 12’ American flag.   Also in attendance were 200 other guests that attended and had the opportunity to celebrate such a memorable occasion.

 Montebello Christian School

On November 11, 2010 in Montebello, Ca.  the Color Guard members of the Mighty Bulldawg Battalion presented the colors for the Montebello Christian School for their Veterans Day observance.  The event was held in the chapel and was well attended by the whole school and some local veterans.  The Principal, Mr. Ernest Castro, is an Alumni of Garfield High School. It is always a pleasure to assist and be a part of his program.
