FINANCIAL AID STEPS
DEADLINE: March 2, 2026
Students who are U.S. Citizens or residents and have 1 or both parents who are citizens or residents:
Step 1: Create Student FSA ID and Parent FSA ID at https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
Save the Student FSA ID & Password in a safe place
Save the Parent FSA ID & Password in a safe place
Step 2: Complete & file the 2026-2027 FAFSA at https://studentaid.gov/
Step 3: A week after you file the FAFSA, create and activate your Webgrant account at https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov/ this account is so that you know your Cal Grant eligibility
Additional step for students applying to Private Colleges & Universities: If you’re applying to Private Colleges & Universities, check to see if they require the CSS Profile, if so file this with your parent before the deadline
