Thank you so much. your hard work will never go unnoticed thank you for not giving up on yourself I promise no matter what your Global family is good for you hey Global student my name is not on whole and I am your Global counselor the next few weeks I'm going to be going in fries and hopefully answer any questions that you may have I've also started a few militia groups for you to reach out to me I have sent a copy of your transcripts and I know you guys are going to have a lot of questions please feel free to email me reach out to me that's what I'm here for us to try to help you as best as I possibly can I really miss all of you and for my freshman I'm sorry that this is the way we have to meet I'm hoping that next two years it was a lot better for everybody I miss you all take care and be talking about the u.s. stock exchange in the US to record Escape hours in American who was held by Russians after being shot down while flying over the Soviet Union was released and returned Americans has a logo of a Russian spy in this picture Francis Gary Powers U-2 spy swap for Rudolf Abel a senior KGB spy not the same as Granite Bridge February 11th 1920 medical advancements were being made in regards to dealing with the flu epidemic however precautions I needed to be taken at this time friend since it was suggested that a person who had the flu or to stay in bed for 3 days after feeling well like white people were told to cover their faces and coughing and sneezing and people should avoid any direct contact with infected people until the people had recovered in this picture you can see kids sitting around radio doing school just like how we do soon this now concludes this week in history hello Global my name is Guillermo Gonzalez and I have been at Garfield for over 25 years I started as a assistant coach back in 1990 right after I graduate from high school and I've been teaching at Garfield post 1995 I graduated from Occidental College go Tigers my proudest moment at Garfield has been every year at graduation when I see my students that didn't believe they can do it actually walk across the stage my spirit animal is a deer haven't chosen a different one but that's what the church has an embarrassing moment that I can share is my early years of teaching I apparently was in front of my classroom giving instruction all day and my Zipper was down the road or told me which actually leaves me with a very good habit everyday when I get to Garfield I get out of my car I always make sure my zipper's episode never happen again funniest thing I have ever seen a student do when my first years of teaching I heard noise I was in a bungalow and I heard noise at one of the gates when I looked out the window I saw a kid throw his backpack over the fence and then he tried climbing the fence and he he got stuck halfway so you got down and ran around the end up going into the front of the school and when he got back the gate where his backpack was that somebody had found the backpack back over the fence low he was just stuck there like what happened that was the funniest thing a famous person that I have met is Vicente Fernandez if you don't know who that is ask your parents or your grandparents I'm sure they know who he is the last song I listened to was today was still by dr. Dre and the internet with my third. we were waiting for a video to come in if I could change anything I've Garfield it would be to have an unlimited budget for all of the extracurricular activities so that we wouldn't have to worry about fundraising and we commit because they didn't any more activities and make it a better experience for everybody especially our Garfield money at you enough to have state-of-the-art instruments and the next facility for them to perform and the Showcase their talent but I find Special Ops Global Academy is that we truly are like a family I like the family atmosphere the support on the camaraderie that all of the staff members offer each other and we do go beyond the school menu go to each other's family parties and we are for support when we need it so that makes Global really special and and that respectively or do I look out for you guys student like if you guys were our families as well great chatting with you and if I haven't seen you yet hopefully when you return to Garfield you will meet me by by hello Global family my name is mrs. Martinez and I am your sister Prince this is my second year at Garfield and I was lucky to meet many of you as you walked through the 600 building last year I know I have not had an opportunity to meet our 9th graders but I am looking forward to seeing you all when it is safe to come the campus today I would like to take this time to highlight what makes Global Academy so amazing I know I have only been here a short time but I am constantly inspired by what I see here at Garfield our teachers are truly committed to our students school and community our Global Academy is a family built on a foundation of respect fairness and love believe in you and we will work to support and encourage you to do your best you are strong and resilient remember your Global family will always be here for you please stay connected stay safe and healthy we are bulldogs strong see you soon
