Mr. Guillermo Gonzalez, Global Academy

I have been teaching at Garfield High School since 1995.  I am a product of East L.A. and graduated from Garfield in 1990.  I have served as a coach (Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Softball) and aside from being a math teacher, I am also the Director of Mariachi Los Alanos here at Garfield as well as our newest ensemble Mariachi Las Mariposas de Garfield High School and the sponsor of East Los Engineers (an engineering club).  I also serve as one of the Lead teachers for Global Academy where I specialize in connecting our students with various universities around the country so that they are able to participate in summer programs to gain a college experience and learn about different majors.
