COURSE DESCRIPTION

  ^{This competency-based course is the first in a sequence of two designed for graphic design. It provides technical instruction and practical experience in workplace safety, the basic principles and techniques of graphic design, print and web typography, color theory and management, elements of illustration, logo design, branding, conceptualization of images through sketching, digital imaging software and their applications, basic word processing and spreadsheet, resource management and employability skills. The competencies in this course are aligned with the California High School Academic Content Standards and the California Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards.}
