Chemistry: Earth Systems

Course Description

The purpose of this course is for students to be able to learn skills and practices that will allow them to critically analyze and evaluate scientific ideas from the world around us. We will do this through the eyes of a chemist, breaking down our observations all they way to the atomic level to reveal why things happen.

This course is not about being able to remember facts, but instead, being able to apply the concepts that you learn to explain real world phenomenon. This is to prepare students for life after this class; to give you knowledge that you can use to take agency when deciding what ideals to support or resist, or even guide your own curiosities.
