9/11 Commemoration Ceremony<br><br>Over the past few years the Garfield High School Army JROTC along with Leadership plans and coordinates a special 911 observance ceremony. The JROTC with combined efforts from leadership help generate awareness of that most tragic day, whereby many lost their lives, leaving a lifelong scar on our country.<br>Mrs. Frances Vilaubi one of our own, assistant principal and JROTC coordinator and master of ceremonies delivered an elegant presentation and made reference to the Granados family presence whose brother, an alumni of Garfield High School and a Coast Guard Officer who perished in the 911 attack. <br>Others members present were the Los Angeles County Sheriffu2019s department, Los Angeles Fire Department (2 fire engines), Mr. Huerta, Local district 5, Explorers, Garfield HS band, student body, staff and faculty, Healthy start, Army recruiter, Navy recruiters, Maj. Benjamin Gibson, LAUSD JROTC Headquarters.<br>
