About me and my class
I’ve been proud to build and grow the Video Production program here at Garfield High School over the past 16 years. I teach two levels of Video Production, along with a dual-enrollment class through East Los Angeles College (ELAC), where students can earn college credit while learning real-world filmmaking skills.
In my classes, students learn everything from storytelling and cinematography to editing and production — all while creating projects that reflect their creativity and voice. Many of my former students have gone on to work in film, television, and digital media.
Each year, I host The Georgies, our annual student film awards show, which celebrates the hard work, talent, and passion of our young filmmakers. My goal is to help students grow as storytellers and give them the confidence to bring their ideas to life on screen.
