We had an amazing Kids First Conference at Garfield High School, celebrating youth activism with community leaders like, Bobby Lee Verdugo, Antonio R. Villaraigosa, Rita Ledesma, Community Coalition, Innercity Struggle, and Chuey Martinez.
Students from around the LAUSD participated in interactive workshops of their choice. They also had the opportunity to be motivated by stirring speakers, led by our School Board Member Ms. Monica Garcia.
Following the event, the participants enjoyed a hearty lunch!
