Memoir It's been about 21 years since i've seen this great historic rivarly. I moved out of L.A. and have not had an opportunity to come down and see it. I visit the web site every now and then. I found that my cross country and track coach was still there. Well, now that I knew that, I was going to make an effort to go. I took the time to visit Mr. Steve Wright and was so happy to hear that what he started in 1983 was even better than before.
I brought my 18 year old son and 15 year old daughter with me and they were in awe of the experience. I had always told them that it was just a football game but there was nothing like it anywhere. I am truly blessed to have been at Garfield and to run for such a great coach. I was so amazed and impressed by the half time show given by the drill team I wished the band was a little bigger and louder like in my days, but there's probably not enough money for instruments or musicans.
My family grew up right on the borderline of either going to Wilson or Garfield. We were been blessed with going to Garfield since 1969. Five of us graduated from Garfield and have many great memories and truly miss it. I want to thank all those responsible for keeping this tradition alive and blessing us with still even more joy.
I was so proud of the fact that even though my kids did not attend Garfield but only heard stories told by there Dad were rooting and lost their voices for my Bulldogs. God Bless and I hope and pray that this will go on till Christ

returns or maybe will play in the new Heaven and Earth.
