Memoir
Picture a hot sticky day, and every student is joyous and thrilled as well as saddened to be graduating and moving on to new areas of their life. When I graduated, by receiving that paper diploma, and walking out of the E.L.A stadium, I looked around and saw everyong hugging, crying, rejoicing. But I just stood there and watched all these strangers to whom I spent 3 years of my life, milling about. And I realized that on this day we would no longer smile at each other in the halls, we would no longer try and like each other. It felt surreal as the sun set and I walked away knowing that I would probably go onto great things in my life and although H.S was difficult, it couldn't be as difficult as what we were about to face. Looking back now, I realize that we were children playing grown up at times, but we were secure in a world that pushes you out into it, ready or not. That day closed with a warm evening, and I can say I was never happier to leave it behind.
