Memoir I have many fond memories of Garfield High School, however,the one that stands out the most happened in 1974 (five years after I became director of the band), the year that the "Big Bad Bulldog Marching Band" traveled to Mexico City via Aero Mexico. Approximately eighty five band members went on the trip. The band was accompanied by several teachers, parents, and principal Dr. Paul Possemato and his wife. The band was well received as it played several outstanding concerts in different parts of the city as well as visited many interesting places. The band was there for five days.
