Classroom Expectations

I expected all students possess a notebook, a binder, or a folder and a pen or pencil to class every time we meet on Zoom.  Everyone works on the warm-up problems for the first ten minutes, the warm-up problems are designed to recall students' prior knowledge, including the current and previous contents, and I will demonstrate the steps in solving these warm-up problems if needed.  After the warm-up activity, I will have students take notes on the class lecture, follows by another classroom activity, classwork.  Students will be grouped by three individuals, each one works on different problems, and they will share their inquiries and solutions to their group members.  In the event their group members are not able to response to their inquiries, I will step in and provide the assistance.  After the classwork activity, students are expected to show their knowledge of understanding of the class lecture by taking an exit quiz.  In this activity, students are not allowed to share knowledge or information with each other, they are working independently, and I will provide the explanation of the exit quiz problems if needed.  Finally, I will assign homework problems for the day, and students are expected to complete them at home.  By this time, I strongly believe students can work on the homework problems at home after they completed the classwork and exit quiz, but if they need assistance from the homework, I will explain to them on the next day.   All classroom activities and homework are to be submitted to Schoology on the due dates.
