Mr. Shettleroe

Welcome to our new school year 2023-24!!!!

My name is Marc Shettleroe this is my 28th year of teaching.

I am honored and proud to have been a part of this great high school for the past 12 years.

I teach US History, World History, Government and Economics. I am also very proud to wear the Navy and Crimson as a Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach and Assistant Varsity Football Coach. I played college football and baseball in Kansas.

James A. Garfield has a rich and storied history (that I love) and to walk the hollowed walls and be a part of this great community is an honor.

I can honestly say, I have never worked a day in my life and I love serving my students and their parents.

The community of East Los Angeles and specifically the Garfield community means so much to me that every day I wake up and "Attack the day with enthusiasm never before seen by mankind!"

Let's have a great year!!
