  1. Course Description

Welcome to Biology, the study of life.  This course will allow students to get familiarized with the concepts of science as a daily human activity.  We will be following the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS Biology) to achieve the goal of understanding the objectives of this course.  The objective of this course is to have a better understanding of what goes on in the world around us and how living things interact with each other.

 

The major learning objectives are:

  1. Principles of Cell Biology/Homeostasis 3. Principles of Evolution
  2. Principles of Genetics 4. Principles of Ecology

  1. Assignments/Homework Policy

*To receive full credit, Homework/classwork/Labs/Projects must be turned in a week before the closing of the grading period.

*Excused absentees will be allowed to submit missed work all the way to the day before the closing of the grading period.

*Students with unexcused absences be able to make up work and will receive 10% lower points.
