Hello,

This is currently my 17th year working as a Math teacher here at Garfield HS, but my 18th year teaching overall. I am very proud to have gotten the opportunity to teach at the very school I attended as well. I currently will be teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry, but have also taught Algebra 2, Trigonometry/Math Analysis, and TCMS.

I look forward to working with new students every year in hopes of being a helpful tool in their own learning experiences. I hope this page will be not only a good resource for students, but parents as well in order to establish further communication.

Este es actualmente mi decimoséptimo año trabajando como maestra de matemáticas aquí en Garfield HS, pero mi decimoctavo año enseñando en general. Estoy muy orgulloso de haber tenido la oportunidad de enseñar también en la misma escuela a la que asistí. Actualmente enseño Álgebra 1 y Geometría, pero también he enseñado Álgebra 2, Trigonometría / Análisis matemáticos, y TCMS.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I AM GOING TO BE ABSENT?

It is still necessary for your PARENT/GUARDIAN who is legally responsible for you to contact the attendance office.

However, since taking PAPER notes to the attendance office is not as practical during these times, please share this information with your family should you need to report being absent for the day or for some of your classes.

Ms. E. Ramirez needs information about your absence written into the email:

A) Parent/guardian needs to give their full name (First and Last) and identify them as the guardian.

B) Parent/guardian needs to give YOUR FULL NAME (First and Last),your GRADE & your BIRTHDAY.

C) Describe the absence, DATE OF THE ABSENCE or the range of days that you will/were be absent.

D) Reason for missing school: Doctor, Illness, Travel, Emergency, Etc.

E) Parent/guardian needs to put in a working HOME or CELL number.

D) Razón por la que faltó a la escuela: médico, enfermedad, viaje, emergencia, etc.
E) El padre / tutor debe ingresar un número de CASA o CELULAR que funcione.
