Pupil Fees

The California Education Code (EC), as amended by Assembly Bill (AB) 1575 in 2012, provides that a pupil enrolled in a public school shall not be required to pay a pupil fee for participation in an educational activity.  “Pupil fee” is defined as a fee, deposit or charge imposed on pupils, or a pupil’s parents or guardians.

Los Angeles Unified School District may not charge fees for participation in an educational activity including curricular and extracurricular activities
