Hi, my name is Rene Davila Treto and I am a Special Education and Music Teacher at James A. Garfield High School.  I was a general Teacher Assistant and Special Education Assistant at James A. Garfield High School for ten years.  These is my first year teaching Special Education at Garfield High School.  I love secondary education and all the learning, fun, and experiences I get to have with students, staff, and parents.

 

I have a bachelor’s degree in music education and a masters in curriculum and instruction for secondary schools.  I got both of my degrees in California State University, Long Beach.  Getting these degrees have helped me become a better teacher and has given me tools and resources to help my students perform at a higher level.
